Thanks for helping.Keytra

Lost things find their way back.

Put a Keytra tag on your keys, bag, pet, or anything else you never want to lose. When somebody finds it, your message shows on any phone with a simple tap.

  • Works forever
  • No app
  • No account
  • No battery
  • No data stored anywhere

How it works

Set it up once. It works for years.

There's no battery to charge and no app for anyone to download.

  1. Write your message

Pick what the tag is on, then add a phone number or email and a few words. Leave out your address.

  2. Program your tag

Your phone writes the message onto the tag. It takes about two minutes.

  3. Someone finds it

They hold their phone near the tag, see your message, and call or text you in one tap.

Questions

Does the person who finds it need an app?

No. iPhone XS and newer read Keytra tags when they're held near the top of the phone, and most Android phones read them when NFC is on. A notification appears, and tapping it opens your message.

Where does the finder tap?

Every Keytra tag carries the Keytra mark on its underside. Holding a phone against that spot opens your message.

What can I put a Keytra tag on?

Keys, bags, wallets, luggage, and pet collars. When you set it up, you choose what it's on, so the finder sees "You found someone's bag" or "I'm somebody's dog, and they're looking for me" before your message.

Is it a replacement for my pet's microchip?

No. A microchip needs a vet or shelter to scan it. A Keytra tag lets anyone with a phone reach you right away. They work best together.

How do I set it up?

Tap your new tag with your phone, or go to keytra.cc/write. You'll choose what it's on, write your message, and program it. On Android it's one tap in Chrome. On iPhone you'll use the free NFC Tools app, and we walk you through each step.

Can I change my message later?

Yes, as long as you haven't locked your tag. Locking is optional and permanent: it stops anyone from changing your message, including you.

What's the difference between the sizes?

Only how long your message can be. Keytra fits about 90 characters, Keytra+ about 360, and Keytra XL about 650. Quick phrases in setup take up less room, so you can often fit more.

What should I write?

A phone number or email so the finder can reach you. Keytra turns them into call, text, and email buttons. Skip your home address.
